Another gorgeous, sunny day! Busy day today, I've got to get my rear in gear. Mr Handsome wants to show me some land in Spring Lake he's interested in buying. Then lunch, movie and the Fish In The Forest. It'll be good. Cleo doesn't want to leave my lap, though. She's been very clingy all morning! Her favorite place is in my lap, her second favorite is in her nest!

I've got to go take care of the Siameses now. They were very cute yesterday! Chicken played with my coat, Sally played with my scarf and Monkey just loved everyone! Sweet cats!

not much to write abut, but I'll keep trying!

naps

Humorous Pictures
moar humorous pics Thank you, I Can Haz Cheeseburger for the pic!
Today, the sun is shining, it's a balmy 19F degrees, I have a STACK of library books and only one pet visit today (to kitties! No Frozen Walks)! So, I might treat myself to a nap. I love napping.
I wish I could sleep at night as easily as I can nap! It's so odd: I can shut down my thoughts to take a nap, but at nighttime, it's like a dam burst! All kinds of thoughts come gushing forth, memories from decades ago, regrets, embarrassments, shame, worries, terrors... geez. I'm hoping that this blog will help with that. Maybe if I can get them out BEFORE bedtime, the pressure will be off.

Snow Dogs

The snow stopped, for now. More is due tomorrow. I feel like I've been shoveling for most of my life! And it's so cold, my nose hairs are freezing. The dogs' noses are freezing, too; they all sneeze a lot when we go outside. Today, I'm going to visit Twinkie who is such a joy! She's just about a year-old beagle mix. But smart! And so darn cute. We'll definitely go running. Well, for her, it's more like being fired out of a cannon, 'cause the girl RUNS! I just try to keep up!
Later, I'll go visit Oreo. So different, but equally dear to me. Oreo is a dachshund mix, almost 17 years old, nearly blind, quite deaf, but does love her Meaty Bones. She looks at me with such a betrayed expression when I insist we go outside for our "walkies." I just KNOW she's thinking, "Just give me the damn Meaty Bone, Woman!" Actually, I worry about her, because she seems to be losing some mobility in her rear legs. I worry about that a lot. Her mommy loves her so... it's very difficult to think about the end. But Princess Oreo is not there yet! That's for sure!
The sun has been shining all morning, but I see clouds moving in from the West. Ah, the sun was so nice while it was here, but I do like the clouds, too. Makes everything private and small. Safe.
